This shredder works as advertised and does a fairly nice job of making confetti out of everything you put in it, but would be nice to make MORE confetti before having to change or empty. |

| Let me begin by stating that I purchased the P600C-2, which seems to be the "next generation" model since everyone has P600C listed on their sites. This model claims to shred up to 7 pages, credit card, and paperclips which I found to be true for the most part. I have successfully shred up to 11 pages at a time, but I did not attempt MORE since the shredder begins to "grind" more as you push it. I was even able to shred an unopened "credit card" envelope although the shredder did "grind" while chewing at the credit card mixed with paper, so I would suggest credit cards apart.
This shredder did a nice job of making confetti of all my paper although I would notice some "random" strip cut strands when paper passed thru the ends of the shredder. Not like you can READ these thin strands of strip cut but not nice to see ANY non-confetti cuts in my garbage bag. The shredder is fairly loud so someone will hear you shredding but it is at an acceptable decible level, but they should REALLY increase the basket size. This model comes with a 5.5 gallon basket but in reality it seems so much smaller with the unit being so bottom-heavy and it fills up fairly quickly. The open slot on the top allows you to see the confetti but you cannot really gauge if it is full or not, and the unit is VERY HEAVY, making it "difficult" to check by lifting. |
